Mabuhay is celebrating 13 years in business!
I opened Mabuhay thirteen years ago as a new mom who was inspired to dress my baby in the cutest handmade outfits. I filled my boutique with a great collection of the sweetest clothes, eco friendly toys and special gifts made locally by women. I transformed my boutique a couple of years ago into a natural beauty store because I wanted to offer products that helped women feel beautiful and maintain wellness for themselves and their families.
I adore shopping for unique items in markets and shops around the world, and collecting the stories of their makers. I have necklaces made of Guanacaste seeds from Costa Rica, Atta bags from Indonesia, and cat eye sunglasses from Japan amongst the myriad of unique treasures I have collected.
I have a special love for the natural beauty of Hawaii where my Filipino grandmother came from, and I named my shop Mabuhay in her honor. I have a great selection of products made by hand from Hawaiian women that include soaps, fragrances, clothing and jewelry.
